Day 127 - Joshua 13 & Psalm 127

Today's reading discusses how God wants Joshua to divide the land and explains who will inherit which parcel.


Psalm 127 is called a psalm of wisdom. I feel like this is the first time we have heard that. It's a reminder that without God's blessing or without God in your life the things that you do and the things that you have are meaningless.

This passage seems to be an accounting of what tribe has been allotted what land they have conquered, going back to when Moses was leading as well.

That is a good interpretation of the first section of this psalm.  The second half is interesting as it seems to imply that children are a reward from God for following him.  I am not sure I am reading this correctly, as it also feels like it says children are a gift from God.
