This psalm starts of telling us not to fret about those doing evil or be envious of them because they will eventually wither and die. It seems a psalm where David is seeing the wicked prosper and finds a bit of jealousy creeping in. But he reminds us to turn to God when we are feeling this way. The devotional attached says something similar. It tells us that life is not always fair and that even though we follow the righteous path, things may still not go our way. But it is our responsibility to stay on the path of righteousness even though things don't always go our way and gives us things to remember from this psalm while doing so. Kind of an instruction manual for when life is hitting back at us or our enemies are turning against us. Trust in the Lord, Do good, Dwell in the land, Take delight in the Lord, Commit your way to the Lord, Be still before the Lord.

This psalm also had a lot of great inspirational verses in it that would remind us to continue our trust and faith in God. "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;" (v. 7), and so many others. I found this psalm to be helpful in trying to understand the current times we are living in.
