"Rejoice in the Lord always...do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." These are what I believe are some of the most powerful words in this book. Or maybe it's just because they are the ones I need to hear most often.
It says this is a song for the Sabbath. One that gives thanks to the Lord for all that he does.

Those are the standout verses. He seems to be telling his audience to rejoice in the Lord no matter the situation and he will be with you always. Keep your mind on God and think about what is right and put it into practice. Something that stood out to me also was, "...for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances". I think this is what we strive for. Contentment. I am seeking contentment in whatever situation I am facing. That is hard to do, but when you find it, it is really freeing.
This does seem to be saying praise the Lord and that he is glad by all the things God has done for him.
