Day 652 - Colossians 1-2:5 & Psalm 94

 Julie

Paul begins his letter to them by praying for them and thanking God for them. He praises them for their faithfulness to God. He is also, I believe, telling them to stay true and holdfast in their beliefs and not let negativity take over.

The Lord will not forsake his people. If we are true believers he will protect us and guide us. While we might deal with evil people he will not let them take over our lives if we will let him protect us.

Michelle

I think you are correct.  It also sounds like he is telling them that he is tasked with letting the Gentiles know of what God wants for them, that they are included in the blessings.  These chapters are all letters and it seems to be written to people he hasn't met yet.

This psalm talks about how God will avenge his believers.  It also sounds like he is asking if anyone around him will stand up for him as well, but that God will always stand by his side.
