Day 679 - Hebrews 2 & Psalm 122

 Julie

This author seems to be reminding people that Jesus was a man and that God made him that way so that he could experience the things that we did in order to give himself for us. It also shows that we can resist temptation if we want to and that we have no need to fear.

I am not sure of the purpose of this psalm other than to talk about Jerusalem being a great city.

Michelle

I think you are correct.  This is explaining that God sent Jesus to show us that we can resist temptation if we are committed to him, but that it's ok to have human emotions for things that happen in our lives.

It does sound like a prayer for Jerusalem, as if there is conflict going on there.  He is asking for peace and security within the walls of the city.
