Day 694 - 1 Peter 1.1-12 & Psalm 137

I got lost reading this one, but I think it's a letter from Peter to God's people scattered among the nations.  He is talking to them about hope and praising God for hope.  

This psalm ends with a terrible verse about killing babies.  It talks about singing about the Lord while in foreign lands and questions why they would do that.  I think this is weird.  You would think that God would want you to sing his praises while outside of your own area.

This is a psalm of remembrance for things that happened to them. I had to look it up to really understand it.
