Today I will start with chapter 10 and just mention that it just talks about how they conquer the land. In chapter 9 they talk about how they make a deal with the Caananites, which is interesting because they were instructed not to do that. However, they were tricked. I am curious to see if this comes back to cause them trouble with God as they did not follow his instructions.
In Psalm 125 the Lord is taking care of those that follow his ways, and he will show others how much better things are when they don't fall to their evil ways.

I was thinking the same about the treaty and why God allowed it. I understand that they made the treaty in the name of the Lord, but God knew they were being tricked or I would assume that and then allowed it. Could it be a test? And a test of what exactly? The rest of the passage just went thru all the areas they conquered in the name of God.
The psalm says those that trust and follow God will be under his protection always, but if they turn to evil ways they will be dealt with accordingly.
