Day 300 - Job 22 & Psalm 114

 Julie

300 days in the Word. That always feels like such an accomplishment.

Eliphaz continues to tell Job how wicked he is/was. Based on the tone of this reading it seems like he is implying that while Job was in power that he mistreated people and that this is why God is treating him the way that he is.

I am not sure that I really understand this psalm. The explanation says that it is a hymn of praise explaining that everything on earth bows down to God as his creations.

This is a milestone!  And we should be thankful we have kept up this long.

It does give that implication in the reading.  Eliphaz also advises Job to submit to God as if he has left him.  He tells him to accept God's instruction so that he can be restored from his wickedness.  While he does sound as if he is accusing Job of wrongdoing, he wants God to restore him.  He sounds like he wants Job to find delight in the Lord.  He reminds Job that God will deliver even those who are not innocent if they turn to him.

I also was not understanding this one.  But the explanation makes sense.
