This chapter shows the ways to be wise and the ways to be "folly." It reminds us that no matter how righteous that we are still subject to sin or that we are not perfect and will make mistakes.
Praise the Lord for all he does.

The devotional with this chapter sums up what I was getting from the reading. It speaks of remembering the old days and how it is easy to think that the past was better than today and that we have selective memories. We remember alot of good things and don't speak or think about the difficulties we had along the way. The ends says to Thank God for all your wonderful memories. Take the difficult things to God in prayer. Ask him what he wants you to learn from your present situation. God doesn't waste our experiences. He can use the good days as well as the not-so-great days to benefit us if we let him. The key is to remember things as they really were/are, to be content with things as they really are and to trust God to take care of the future. I think this is where we are in a way.
This sounds like a psalm of praise to God. It is telling all the tribes to praise God and reminds of some of the things God has done for them.
