Day 362 - Isaiah 48 & Proverbs 23

This sounds like God is telling them they will be redeemed and that they must leave where they are. It says that he knew they were rebellious and yet he remained with them always even when they acted against him and turned to other idols. It seems we are being reminded again of God’s presence in our lives and that he is there to guide us. 

The proverb sounds like instruction to stay away from evil, gluttonous people and their ways. Verse 26 stood out to me, “…give me your heart and let your eyes observe my ways”.  This seems a call to keep your eye and you heart on God and not to be ensnared or tempted my those that are lying, drunk, or gluttonous.

They said that this is the longest book in the Bible. However, this book seems to repeat itself a lot. It seems to say the same things just in different ways each time. Maybe I am not really applying this enough. 

I think you got this one right. The thing that stood out to me was where it talked about disciplining a child and that it's ok to do that. I think people have forgotten that...
