This chapter starts with Jeremiah being beaten and arrested by Pashhur for prophesying. But when he is released, he tells Pashhur what God is planning for him. It then goes into Jeremiah's complaint, to God I think. He says how God deceived him and how those all around him are waiting for him to slip up so that they can take revenge on him. He seems to be struggling with sharing God's word and keeping it to himself so as to live in peace with those around him. But at one point he says, "his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot". He then goes on to say how God is with him like a mighty warrior, but then later on curses the day he is born. Jeremiah really seems to be struggling in this chapter. His heart burns for God, but he is struggling to live in the place he has been put in. That is relatable in some ways. Especially when you are around those that don't share the same beliefs as you or have the same views on things in the world or life in general. It seems God is leading him in one direction, which is not necessarily a fun one, and he is fighting against it and just trying to live in peace, keeping his beliefs to himself.
The psalm seems to be a praise to God. David goes on about how he delights in the Lord, how he keeps his eyes on God, and how his heart rejoices. He says his body rests secure. I like how he says God makes known to him the path of life. That feels encouraging to me for some reason.

I think your point is just and that yes, we do tend to take it hard when we are persecuted by others for sharing the Word of God. The confusing thing here for me is that he starts his statement complaining about God deceiving him, but then later talks about how God is there to protect him.
Reminder that the Lord is there for us always.
