The crucifixion of Jesus occurs. I have always wondered why they felt it necessary to treat him worse than anyone else that was being crucified. The devil was truly at work here. When I We read this or watch some of the depictions of this I am so in awe and that someone would endure all that pain for me.
We need to have wisdom in how we do things and in who we choose to listen to...

It is an awesome act that he gave his life and endured such pain for the people of the world. It's interesting reading this today because I noticed that Pilate even tries to tell the people there was no evidence of wrong-doing and the people were being stirred up by the chief priests to get him killed. I am always confused by the part when Jesus calls out asking why he has been forsaken by his father. He knew what was coming, was he expecting to be saved from the cross? He seemed to tell everyone what would happen so for some reason that part confuses me.
The verse that stands out says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding".
