Day 532 - Mark 14 & Proverbs 8

 julie

These are stories we have heard many times. Peter denies that he knows Jesus, they have the dinner with Jesus and Judas betrays Jesus. Jesus even tells them that they will do these things. I wonder if this is like in the OT where God would tell them that they would do the things that he didn't want them to do. Do you think that Jesus was hoping that Peter would have more faith and trust to be able to say, yes he knows Jesus and that by telling him that he would do this that he was giving him a chance to maybe not do it...

We are blessed with the wisdom of God if we ask for it and listen and trust.

I wonder the same thing.  It seems he is telling some of them what is going to happen, as God has done in the past, and yet they still do exactly what he foretells, but it seems a chance for them to alter their behaviors or choices.

We should seek wisdom from God above all else.  Doing so will keep us on the righteous path.
