I guess I hadn't realized until now just how repetitive these first few books are, but at the same time some are also giving more detail than others. You would think that it would be seen by unbelievers that when you have all these accounts that are telling of the same things that there must be some truth to all of this. The one thing that stands out different from the others in this one is where Jesus tells them that they will now be fishers of men.
All of these proverbs that we have been reading recently are talking about how we can be righteous and I know I have mentioned this before but they all seem to say that those that are slow to anger are better than the mighty. They don't all say it exactly that way, but they all do talk about our ability to be slow to anger and the importance of it.

That's true. You would think that various people giving the same account would cause people to stop and think maybe this is an accurate depiction of events. One of the things that always stands out in the fisherman story, is that they all left everything behind to follow Jesus. Not many people would do that today. It took alot of faith, and some things being shown to them, in order to get them there.
This one feels like it has alot of different things to teach you, however, you are right that they all share a common theme.
