Day 631 - 2 Corinthians 7:5 - 16 & Psalm 73

 Julie

I am not sure of the purpose of this part of the letter. It seems like he is commending the people for following the word.

He seems to be talking about how he was jealous of those that had more even though they had obtained it in a bad way. However, he sees how they will not be finding the glory of God and he is thankful that God let him down a different path. I believe that is what this is saying.

Michelle

It sounds like the people he is addressing having repented for their sins or behaviors.  He says that he caused sorrow but doesn't regret it because it had the intended effect of them repenting.

I agree with your interpretation.  That is what it sounds like to me as well.
