There are a couple of things that stand out here. "Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it (a thorn in his flesh) away from me. But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my over is made perfect in weakness.'...For when I am weak, then I am strong." This is a well known verse that people speak. It seems to be saying that we are given thorns for a reason and that in our weakness that is when God's power is shown brightest. Paul goes on speaking about his concern for the people and then final warnings that they should examine themselves in the faith and test themselves.
I am not quite understanding this psalm. It seems to say we should fear God alone as he is the one whom pronounces judgment.

Paul is telling of his concerns for the Corinthian church and he seems to be afraid that they are not going to follow God. He does tell them that he is ready to sacrifice himself for them though. He warns them one more time of the consequences of not following God.
No one can stand against the Lord.
