Day 671 - 2 Timothy 1 - 2.13 & Psalm 114

Seems like another letter to Timothy.  First, he gives thanks to God for various things, then Paul appeals for loyalty.  The title says loyalty to Paul; however, it seems to me he should be asking for loyalty to God.  But as I read on, he implies he has been deserted by his friends for his belief and he urges us to keep the faith and remain working for God.  

I am not sure about this psalm.  I don't understand why the things of earth are fleeing from God.  Or maybe I am misunderstanding this reading.  The end tells the earth to tremble at God's presence.

As hard as it is we should remain faithful and trusting and God will always be there for us.

The explanation says the all natures obeys the Lord so this is a hymn of praise.
