This is explaining why there are no longer animal sacrifices as there were in the days of Moses. It tells how Jesus dying and his blood sacrifice washes away our sins and his return will be for those that believe, follow, ask for forgiveness and are faithful.
Everything that we receive from the Lord is a gift.

I understood the same from this reading. Jesus is the way and changed things by being here with the people and experiencing the same things.
This seems to say that with God all things are possible. That we must start with the Lord, and he will bless us through all things we do.
