Today's reading is a bit strange...I guess. There were some strange laws or at least what seemed to be strange laws, but made sense at the time with what types of things might have been going on. In reading some of the explanations of the verses there were a lot of assumptions made about why things were being said the way that there were and referencing things that were going on at the time that did not fit the law of God.
Because I did not completely understand this Psalm I read the explanation as well. It's a royal psalm looking forward to the coming of Jesus.

These seem to be laws about various things that come along with behavioral actions. It's interesting that there are such specific things listed. Things like not becoming a prostitute or charging interest. These things seem to be guiding them to be of good character basically. Or that is what it seems like to me.
I do not really understand this psalm today. It seems to be saying the Lord will or is with you.
