So we have heard all of these stories before as well and there doesn't seem to be much difference in Luke's telling of them in comparison with the others. The one difference with look is that he seems to be the first to mention the women that accompanied them on their journey. He doesn't go into great detail about them or about how they came to be, but he does include them. The constant theme in most of what is discussed in these particular stories is do not fear, have faith and trust in God.
More words of wisdom and ways we can stay righteous in God. This chapter seems to have a mixture of different ways to do that.

These are all stories we have heard before and I didn't realize about the women but thinking back you are right. I don't believe the others mentioned them. The overall theme is having faith and trust in God, as you say.
There is alot in this reading. It does all have to do with wisdom and ways to be righteous in God's eyes. But I think some of these are more than that. Some of them come down to behavior in relation to others in general.
